I had my first daughter Tlhago 10 years ago!! I can’t believe it has been a whole decade.

Like they saying ‘time flies when you are having fun’
Well my journey of motherhood wasn’t always ‘fun’.
Like many, I was feeling overwhelmed from multiple well meaning voices who unfortunately projected and operated from their own fears and traumas.
Like many mothers, I wore a batch of ‘I will die for my kids’ until I came across a post back in my Facebook era that asked a question that had me ponder for a while.
The question was, ‘a lot of you say they will die for their kids, how are about your start living for them’.
And it was that time I asked myself: ‘what would it look like to live for my children’
And as such my quest of appreciating my feminine aspect and choosing to journey back to myself began.
In the next weeks, I will be sharing with you how I moved from overwhelmed to redefining my identity that acknowledged my mothering role while also embracing me as a woman with needs and desires.
Stay tuned
