How to Navigate the Festive Chaos
The “Sh’ego” Silencer
The “Sh’ego” Silencer: How to Navigate the Festive Chaos
We love our families, we really do. But let’s be honest—nothing triggers a “Sh’ego” flare-up quite like a festive family gathering. The questions about your weight, your relationship status, or your career can make that inner critic scream.
Nugget: When we get triggered, we often regress. We stop being the powerful woman we are and become the wounded child. This is a primal defense mechanism. Your body is remembering old unsafe feelings.
Your Primal Tool: Before you walk into the family lunch, practice Vocal Toning.
Try this: Go to the bathroom or your car. Take a deep breath and let out a low, vibrating hummmm on the exhale.
Why? This stimulates the Vagus Nerve, which runs from your brain to your gut. It literally switches your nervous system from “Fight or Flight” to “Rest and Digest.” You aren’t just humming; you are biologically proofing yourself against stress.
Go Deeper: We dive deep into these tools in our AtGoal online course. You don’t have to navigate these triggers alone.
So this is me opening my heart and arms and welcoming all who are ready to remember with me how to tap into our organic essence.
